Lewis Hines started A World With Friends to help children who miss a lot of time at school due to chronic illness and disability come together to make friends.
About
us
A World With Friends started as a small project called Friend Finder founded by Lewis Hine when he was 14 years old. He wanted to reduce the isolation and loneliness of children with chronic illness and disabilities by helping them to make friends doing activities, proms and other events. Friend Finder grew rapidly, and Lewis held more and more events across the whole of the UK. He hosted several proms allowing over 1000 young people, who were either too sick or terminally ill to make their own prom, to have a magical dream night and truly feel part of something.
A World With Friends makes friendship accessible for those who thought that wasn’t possible.

A World With Friends is Lewis’s vision of an online world which has no barriers and enables chronically sick and disabled children access to meet friends all around the world. It brings life and most importantly it brings friends and hope to them at a time in their life when they need it the most, because everyone needs a friend.
